Daniel L. Flenner

Daniel Lloyd Flenner, age 82 of Gratis, Ohio passed away peacefully the morning of Monday, October 4, 2021 with the love of his family surrounding him, at Kettering Medical Center.  Born February 28, 1939 in South Fork, Pennsylvania, the son of Lloyd Marlin and Margaret Fern (Paul).

Dan, a graduate of Marietta College and Brigham Young University, worked as a teacher and guidance counselor at Preble Shawnee Local Schools, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Odd Fellows Lodge. He was an accomplished singer, performing at various events throughout his life.  Dan enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He had a deep love for his community and people in general. He never met a stranger and was always able to see the good in people.  Dan touched the lives of those he encountered, and he made it a point to make everyone feel important and special.

Survived by his son Matt (Tonia) Flenner, grandchildren Travis Day, Cameron Day, Zachary (Ashley) Zimmerman, Cody (Samantha) Zimmerman, Alyssa Zimmerman, Gabrielle Flenner, and Kylie Flenner, great grandchildren Lilly Zimmerman and Jackson Zimmerman, and sisters Janet (William) Catalona and Connie (Karl) Lippowitsch.

Preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Margaret (Fern) Flenner, wives Jane (Mann) Flenner and Jeanne (Kemmerer) Flenner, daughter Roberta Day, and granddaughter Tiffany Day.

Visitation will be on Friday October 8, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1:00P.M. with Bishop Arnold Baughman officiating at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 220 Wayne Trace Road Eaton, Ohio 45320. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, Ohio.  Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio serving the family.
