Daisy Ruth Smith

Daisy Ruth Smith, age 85 years of Harrison, OH passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Shawneesprings Health Care Center in Harrison. Born September 23, 1924 in Parkersburg, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Herman & Lulu (Richards) Ashley. She married Lester Smith on June 7, 1942 in Williamsburg, OH. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son Robert (Rita) Smith of Harrison, OH & daughter-in-law Dorothy Smith of Zionsville, OH. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Mark (Carmon) Smith, Melissa (Mark) Cline, Tracy Smith & Travis Smith and great grandchildren Olivia, Hannah, Nathaniel, Lucas, Jenna and Ethan and her brother Herman (Joyce) Ashley Jr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son William H. Smith, great granddaughter Amber & sister Allie Brandenburg. Visitation will be Monday, August 02, 2010 from 11am until time of service at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
