D. William "Bill" Hilton of Bright, IN passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg, IN. Born March 7, 1917 in Cleveland, OH he was the son of the late William & Esther (Krist) Hilton. He was a 22 year member and a deacon of the Independent Bible Church on Georgetown Rd. He was married to Nan Hilton who preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Hilton was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a volunteer fireman for Clifton, OH & New Burlington, OH; worked for Procter & Gamble; was an auto mechanic, High school Vocational Mechanics teacher, Teacher at Ivy Tech, member of the John Burch Society, the Independent Bible Church for 22 years where he was also a Deacon, member of We the Hoosiers and involved in many Bible Study Groups that he taught. Bill is survived by his daughter Becky (Chris) Martini of Bright, IN; grandchildren Josh Martini of Bright, IN; Krista Martini of Indianapolis, IN & John Martini of Bright, IN and great grandson Noah Martini. He will also be missed by his brother Harold (Betty) Hilton of Hamilton, OH and sisters Dorothy (Clayton) Garland of Ross, OH, Grace (Hugh) Thompson of Fairfield, OH & Evelyn Gompf of Fairfield, OH. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ernest, Richard & David Hilton. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 4-7pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009; 10:30am at Independent Bible Church, 20993 Georgetown Rd., Lawrenceburg, IN 47025 with Pastor Craig Sopcisak & Pastor Carroll "Mac" McCready officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, OH. Memorials are suggested to the church c/o the funeral home.
