Cornelia "Connie" Garrod

Cornelia "Connie" Garrod, age 89 of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Western Hills. She was born in Manchester, KY on March 23, 1924, the daughter of Leonard & Nancy Ann (Jackson) Smith. Connie married Edgar H. Garrod on July 18, 1947 in Harrison, OH and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrison.

Connie is survived by her daughters Donna Lee Snyder of Sunman, IN and Ramona Fern (George) Courtney of St. Leon, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Lorrie Snyder, Robin (Charles) Evans, Lisa Tanksley, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jimmy, Lester, Isaac, Hobert, Berchel & Howard Smith and her sister Myrtle Smith.

Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014 from 10am until time of services at 12:00 noon at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Brother Ronnie Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville, IN.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or Hamilton County Humane Society c/o the funeral home.
