Connie Sue Bearup

Connie Sue Bearup, age 73, of Logan, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, in Batesville, Indiana.

Born on Thursday, August 31, 1950, the daughter of Orville and Alma (Birkle) Block in Cincinnati, Ohio.  A 1968 graduate of Aurora High School, Connie was a hairdresser for 30 years with Fiesta in Harrison, Ohio.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Gus) Viel, six grandchildren, Brandi (Ray) Owens, Breanna Fields, Colton Viel, Kelsie Viel, Brady Fields, and Kyle Cossman, and six great-grandchildren, Jax, Rynlee, Brantley, Kenneth, Callie, and Daelynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Alma Block, her daughter Shelly R. Cossman, and her siblings, Geraldine Terrell, Jackie Longsworth, and Beverly Block.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, all located at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.  Burial will follow at River View Cemetery, 3635 East Laughery Creek Road, Aurora, Indiana 47001.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the family in Connie’s memory in care of the funeral home.
