Charlotte Joan Shearer

Charlotte Joan Shearer, age 84, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on September 19, 1940, the daughter of Henry and Virginia (Jones) Eckstein in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

She married the love of her life, Carl “Dick” Shearer, on April 1, 1958, at the Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She was known to be a very strong person, and she was employed by US Shoe and retired working in hazmat for Fernald.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Joey Shearer, her two grandchildren Nina (Kara) Shearer and Ryan Shearer. She is also survived by her siblings, Paul (Sharon) Eckstein, Dave (Pam) Eckstein, Ruth McAdams, Becky Powers, and Mary Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Shearer, her parents, Henry and Virginia Eckstein, her daughter Gina Shearer, and her brothers Ronald Eckstein and Billy Eckstein.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Kessen officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. A burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.

Memorials may be made in memory of Charlotte to Hospice of Cincinnati, Harrison Fire & EMS, and/or Wesleyan Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
