Charles Farthing Jr., age 83 years of Harrison, OH passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Cincinnati, OH. Born Jan. 9, 1928 in North Bend, OH he was the son of the late Charles Farthing Sr. & Cora (Faucet) Farthing. The WWII Army Veteran was married to Fern White who preceded him in death, he then married Thelma Boggs. Charles retired from Busy Bees Bakery in Cleves, OH. He also worked for the Harrison Home Bakery and after retiring, he worked as a security guard for Indiana Springs. Charles is survived by his wife Thelma Farthing, daughter & son-in-law Lanette & Jesse Covarrubias of Illinois; son & daughter-in-law Curt & Cindy Farthing of W. Harrison, IN; stepsons & step daughter-in-laws Steve & Andrea Scott, Roy Lee & Mary Kay Scott and Jamie & Michelle Scott all of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by his sisters Betty Gemerth of Cincinnati, OH, Barbara Marcum of Florida & Lois (Paul) Tropf of Florida and grandchildren Daniel (Malinda) Farthing, Nicholas Farthing, Shannon (Chip) Yochum, Justin Siefert, Joshua Siefert, Brandon Scott & Brian Scott and great grandchildren Paige, Kala, Shelby, Gabby, Andy, Jessica, Kyle & Katie Scott, Emma & Conner Yochum & Patrick. Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 10 am until time of service at 11:30 all at Newsong Vineyard Church, 120 N. State St., Harrison, OH. with Pastor Chris Sheneman officiating. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Shandon, OH. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati c/o Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH.
