Charles E. Alsip

Charles E. Alsip, age 78 of Goshen, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at his home.  The son of Oscar Sr. and Charity (Sexton) Alsip was born on May 22, 1938 in Covington, KY.   He married Alma C. Walters on November 1, 1996 in Barbersville, KY.

Charles worked as the Sheetmetal Supervisor for Meyers Industries in Harrison, Ohio for many years.  The U.S. Navy veteran was a proud member of the NRA and a member of the Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Harrison, OH.

He will be missed by his wife Alma; children Debbie Cook (Scott), Pam Thomas (Rick), Dennis Alsip (Liane) , Shelly Smith (James), Doug Shelton, Mitch Shelton (Chrysten), Shawn Shelton (Jody), and Scott Shelton (Denise); along with 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his four brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5:30-7:30pm  at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH.  Graveside funeral services will be 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 13th at Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, KY.  Pastor Tom Queen officiating.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Cincinnati c/o the funeral home.
