Cecil Henson

Cecil Henson, age 80, of Cedar Grove, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Florence, Kentucky.  He was born on January 27, 1943 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of Luther and Virgie (Jones) Henson.

Cecil married Rita Benson August 27, 1966, in Bright, Indiana and worked for Hamilton Foundry for many years.  Served in the United States Army and stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war era.

Survived by his loving wife Rita Henson.  Father of David Henson, Tonya Money, Karen Hamon, and Jacob (Samantha) Morgan.  Grandfather of 17, great-grandfather of 13, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Brother of Dan, Estil (Rosa), Ronald (Kristina), Eddie (Cathy), and John Henson.  Also survived by brother-in-law Steve Kaiser.

Preceded in death by his parents Luther and Virgie Henson, daughter Donna Henson, son Billy Smith, grandson Cody Henson, and his siblings Edna Kaiser, Norma Jean Henson, and Hargis Henson.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 from 5:30 P.M. until time of funeral services at 7:30 P.M. with Pastor Wade Hicks officiating and military honors provided by the Harrison Honor Guard all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.
