C.D. "Jim" Dooley

C.D. "Jim" Dooley, age 72 of West Harrison, Indiana passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Burlington House in Cincinnati, OH. Born February 28, 1932 to Chester and Clara (Burris) Dooley in Columbia, KY he was one of 12 children. Jim married Betty Enochs on March 15, 1952 in Deer Park, Ohio. Jim was a Korean War Army Veteran and machinist at GE in Cincinnati for 32 years. The outdoorsman enjoyed hunting and fishing along with playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Betty; son Tom Dooley of West Harrison; daughter Vivian Kirk of Bright; 8 grandchildren, Stephen, Julie, Michelle, Ashley, Lisa, Megan, Krystal and Cody; 9 great grand children; 3 brothers, Alton (Martha) Dooley, Sanford (Susie) Dooley and Bill (Ann) Dooley; and 4 sisters Carol (Don) Lockhart, Maggie Estes, Geneva Snyder and Nora Bailey. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester, Oris & Ray Dooley, his sister Elise Owens and one great grandchild, Khilie. Visitation, Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 9-11am followed by funeral services, all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison. Pastor Paul Enochs officiating with burial immediately following in Gibson Cemetery, Bright with military grave side rites. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, in care of the funeral home.
