Cathy Hicks

Cathy Hicks, age 71, of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born March 12, 1952, in Melvin, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Joann (Johnson) Osborne.

Cathy, a 1970 William Henry Harrison High School graduate, married Bob Hicks December 31, 1979, in Miamitown, Ohio.  Cathy worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier that covered the West Harrison area for 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cake decorating, painting, playing the piano, and planting flowers. More than anything, Cathy enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed family vacations to the ocean where she was an avid seashell hunter.

Survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Bob Hicks.  Beloved mother of Roxanna (Derek) Smith, and Justin (Brandi) Hicks.  Grandmother of Teagan Smith.  Dear sister of Johnny (Patti) Little and Delzie (Eve) Osborne.

Preceded in death by her parents John and Joann Osborne, and her beloved dogs Gravy, Mollie, and Peanut.

A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at a later date.
