Cathleen J. Franklin

Cathleen J. Franklin, age 84 of Dayton, OH formerly of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Dayton. Born July 22, 1926 in Mt. Healthy, OH she was the daughter of the late Frank & Cecelia (Smith) Weis. Cathleen retired from Procter & Gamble, was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, member of St. John the Baptist Church, member of AM Vets #13, past member of the American Legion Post 199 and past member of the VFW Duwel Post 7570. Cathleen is survived by her children and their husbands Pat & Chris Schaeffer of Centerville, OH, Robert C. Sheley of Cincinnati, OH, Mary & Kevin Goldy of Ashland, KY and John "Toby" Sheley of Harrison, OH. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jessica & Phillip Schaeffer and Charles & Whitney Sheley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Leroy Sheley and her second husband John R. Franklin and her son Charles B. Sheley. Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2011 from 10am 11am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:30am at St. John the Baptist Church, Harrison, OH with Father Edward Shine officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John the Baptist c/o the funeral home.
