Carol "Cookie" Barnes

Carol “Cookie” Barnes, age 86 of Harrison, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Harrison Trail in Harrison, Ohio.  Born September 8, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Richard and Florence “Syd” (Young) Tessendorf.

Carol was a Withrow High School graduate married Terry Barnes March 3, 1955, at Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church.  Former owner of Prints Charming and The End Table in Harrison, Member of First Presbyterian Church of Harrison.

Survived by her loving husband Terry Barnes.  Mother of Matt (Berta) Barnes and Mary (John) Craft.  Grandmother of Jarid (Elizabeth) Willman, Tara (Zachary) Tucker, Sydney (James Green), Paige (Jay) Robb and Cody (Kayley) Barnes.  Great grandmother of Isaac and Abby Willman.  Sister of Linda Bates and Richard (Capi) Tessendorf, Jr.

Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Florence “Syd” Tessendorf and sister Jean (Jack) Hatterschide.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. all at First Presbyterian Church, 115 South Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church Organ Fund or Youth Program.
