Betty E. Volpenhein

Betty E. Volpenhein, age 92 passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at her home in W. Harrison, IN.  Born January 15, 1924 in Covington, KY she was the daughter of Harry & Lillian (Lubke) Tabeling.

Betty married Robert Volpenhein on June 5, 1948 in Covington, KY and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH.

Betty is survived by her children Bonnie Day (Steve) of W. Harrison, IN, Betty Cornelius (Keith) of White Oak, OH, Dan Volpenhein (Missy) of Mason, OH, Barb Lotz (Steve) of Montgomery, OH, Becky Weisgerber (Mark) of Loveland, OH, Tom Volpenhein (June) of W. Harrison, IN, Andy Volpenhein (Kathy) of W. Harrison, IN, Matt Volpenhein (Vivian) of Logan, IN, Eric Volpenhein (Sandy) of Bridgetown, OH and Karl Volpenhein (Rosalie) of Mason, OH.  She will also be missed by her 33 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and siblings Paul Tabeling, Joann Fashold, Dick Tabeling (Carol) & Jane Schwab.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Ruth & Harry Tabeling.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffrey M. Kemper officiating.  Burial will follow services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.

Memorials are suggested to St. John’s El Salvador Education Fund for Our Lady of Guadalupe .
