Betty Ray Jackson

Betty Ray Jackson (nee Dennison), age 93, just two months shy of her 94th birthday, of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her home. Born January 16, 1918 in Riley, OH she was the daughter of the late Glenn & Marjorie (Clark) Dennison. Betty worked for Dr. Morris & Dr. Baughman in Harrison as a Medical Assistant and volunteered at Deaconess & Providence Hospitals. She was a member of the Eastern Star, First Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Women's Assoc. She taught Sunday School, loved flowers, gardening, knitting, sewing, the 500 Card Club and various Bridge Clubs. She loved Bridge. She & her husband used to travel a lot and enjoyed the sights. They wintered in Florida before John's death in 1988. Betty is survived by her daughter Jo-Jean (James) Kleinfeld, grandchildren Kimberly (Steve) Dapper, Patrick (Jennie) Biddle, great grandchildren Amber, Nate & Lauren and numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Jon Jackson and brother Clark Dennison. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 7, 2011 from 9:30 10:30am followed by services at 10:30am all at the First Presbyterian Church, Faith Hall in Harrison, OH with Phyllis Wolf officiating. Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery in Riley, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church Women's Assoc. or Building Fund c/o Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH.
