Bessie Frost, age 89 years of Liberty, IN passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 at Shawneesprings Nursing Home in Harrison, OH after a short illness. Born September 6, 1920 in Island Creek, KY (Clay Co.) to Justis P. "Buck" & Sallie (Rogers) Martin. She married Jack Frost on May 11, 1944 and they raised 4 children & 2 grandchildren. She was a loving wife to Rev. Jack Frost for 60 years. She was living in Liberty, IN and attended Maple Grove Baptist Church in Liberty, IN. She was a graduate of Island Creek High School and 2 years at Cumberland College. She was a retired school teacher for Sexton, KY school district. Mrs. Frost had many hobbies, quilting, sewing and was a wonderful cook and an award winning artist. She formerly lived in Berea, KY; New Trenton, IN; Annville, KY and Island Creek, KY. She is survived by her daughters Betty Jo (Roy) Hall of W. Harrison, IN; Rosie Goodin of New Trenton, IN and Donna Jean (Mike) Paul of Geneva, FL and son Jack Wayne Frost of Clear Creek Baptist College, KY. She will also be missed by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and sisters Mary Welch of Liberty, IN; Viola (Andrew) Transier of Cambridge City, IN; Lorena (Troy) Holiday of Inverness, FL & Margie (Ralph) Morris of Brownsville, IN and sister-in-law Irene Martin Bennington of Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Jack Frost, daughter Dottie Frost, siblings Bertha Robinson, Abbey Sawyer, Saul Martin, Lewis Martin and an infant brother. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 11am until time of services at 12 noon all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Jack Frost, Pastor Ralph Morris & Pastor Mike Null officiating. Burial will be in Drewersburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati; Maple Grove Baptist Church or American Stoke Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
