Bessie Callaway

Bessie Callaway, age 91 of Bright, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her home. The daughter of Henry and Coradella (Grubbs) Ziegler was born on October 25, 1921 in Bright, IN. Bessie married Arthur G. Callaway on February 29, 1940 in Bright, IN. Many people knew Bessie, she was a cook for years at North Dearborn Schools, before she retired. She was also a member of the Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children Arthur "Buddy" Callaway and Dixie Kidwell both of Bright, IN; 3 grandchildren Kelly Mitchell, Keith Kidwell & Sheri Callaway; 6 great grandchildren, Jessica, Corey, Kaitlyn, Steffany, Hayden & Lucas; 1 great great grandchild Joy; along with her sisters, Nellie Callaway of Bright, IN and Rosella Carroll of Harrison, OH and her brothers Don Ziegler of Bright, IN, Gene Ziegler of W. Harrison, IN & Loren Ziegler of W. Harrison, IN. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, and her siblings, Clifford Ziegler, Susie Reatherford, Clara Ogdon and Henrietta Eggelston. Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2012 from 11am until 1pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverend Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN. Memorials may be given to Dearborn County Hospice.
