Bertha Elizabeth Jones

Bertha Elizabeth Jones, age 88 of Okeana, OH passed away Monday, August 15, 2005 in Hamilton, OH. Born May 10, 1917 in Dearborn County, IN she was the daughter of the late Adam & Carrie (Viel) Dorst. She married Harold E. Jones on April 7, 1945 and was a member of the Shandon United Church of Christ. She was homemaker and worked for US Shoe. Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter Carolee (William) Witt of Clarkston, MI and son Michael (Diane) Jones of Okeana, OH; grandchildren Brent Jones, Lindsey Witt and Lauren Witt and sister Verna Dunning of Bright, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Harold Dorst. Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2005 from 6-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Pia officiating. Burial will be in New London Cemetery in Shandon, OH. Memorials are suggested to the Harrison Senior Center.
