Arnold Brewer

February 15, 1934 — January 20, 2024

Rev. Arnold Brewer, age 89, of Camden, Ohio, went Home to be with his Lord peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in Camden, Ohio.

Born the son of Willie and Nora (Hensley) Brewer on February 15, 1934, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, he honorably served his country with the United States Air Force for 4 years in Germany and married his bride, Norma Rae Turner, on October 25, 1958, in Erie, Pennsylvania.  He retired after 30 years from the Chrysler Corporation in March of 1997.  Arnold served since 1967 at the Church of God in Jesus, founded by Noah and Jessie Turner in 1966.  He retired after 50 years as and still referred to as Senior Pastor.

Rev. Arnold is survived by: his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Rae Brewer, his four daughters, Michelle (Bryan) Washburn, Dorcas (Dane) White, Andrea Fornshell, and Gloria (Steve) Stucky; his eight grandchildren, Benjamin (Bethany) Beard, Beau (Tara) Beard, Bridgette (Jake) Bockover, Devyn White, Savannah (Jim) Jenkins, Sophia Fornshell, Amanda (Jesse) Orloff, and Samuel (Lindsey) Stucky; and his 11 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Brynn, Bellamy, Boyd, Colton, Max, Alanis, Gabrielle, Owen, Reed, Logan, Boone, Naomi, Titus, Noelle, Olivia, and Boaz.  He is also survived by his siblings, Lawrence Brewer, Lloyd Brewer, Hager Brewer, Sandra Brewer, George Brewer, Sue Goins, Willie Brewer, Jr., Peggy Drennin, Mary Mullins, James Brewer, and Vera Coughlan Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nora Brewer, his son-in-law, Shawn Beard, his great-granddaughter Amelia, his siblings, Myrtle Jones, Cecil Brewer, J.W. Brewer, and Jerry Brewer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Rodney Griffin officiating, all held at Church of God in Jesus, 5604 West Alexandria Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Boulevard, Middletown, Ohio 45044.
