Annalee Smith

AnnaLee (Gerngross) Smith, a lifelong resident of Harrison, OH, died Saturday, October 13, 2108 at Hospice of Hamilton at the age of 90 with her loving husband by her side. Born on January 22, 1928 in Harrison, Ohio to George and Opal (Hahn) Gerngross.

AnnaLee graduated from Harrison High School in 1946 and married Jerry Smith on June 22, 1946. She worked for two years at Orlick’s clothing store before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed camping and bowling, and was a talented drawer. AnnaLee and Jerry attended United Methodist Church at North Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Leona Mae (Gerngross) Hollin, and her daughter, Asenath Ann Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith, niece Gloria Jean (David) Record, nephew David Ray (Vicki) Hollin, and several nieces and nephews in the Smith family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018  from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services 12:00 P.M. all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 E. Broadway Street, Harrison. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in AnnaLee’s name to Shriners Hospitals for Children 3018 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
