Anna Mae "Sadie" Viel

Anna Mae "Sadie" Viel, age 89, Harrison, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash. Born March 7, 1928, in Harrison, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Owens) Dole.

She married the late Harlan "Buzz" Viel on November 20, 1948 in Harrison, Ohio.  A 1946 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Harrison.  Sadie loved to quilt, sew, garden and can.

Sadie is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Grubbs of Harrison, Ohio.  Grandmother of Melissa Latham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Suzanne (Jason) Bussart of Edmund, Oklahoma, Heidi (Shawn) Teague of Tucson, Arizona, Kristin (Wes) Dickson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bryan Grubbs and Jared Grubbs both of Bright, Indiana. Great grandmother of 15 and great great grandmother of one.

Preceded in death by her husband, Harlan "Buzz" Viel on June 15, 2014, daughter, Suzanne Woodruff, grandson, Chad Harlan Grubbs. Sister of the late Margaret Grubbs, Paul Dole, Jake Dole and Buck Dole.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway St. Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery.
