Alva Gordon Bennett

Alva Gordon Bennett, age 76 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his home. Born August 10, 1931 in Franklin County, IN he was the son of the late Selwyn & Leona (King) Bennett. He married Irene Riley on Nov. 11, 1950 in Harrison, OH. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife Irene Bennett, children Chester David (Sara Lisa) Bennett of Harrison, OH; Saundra K. (Alvin) Wolf of W. Harrison, IN & Kathryn (Gary) Feller of Sunman, IN. He will also be missed by 8 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren, brother Ronald (Emma) Bennett & sisters Evelyn (James) Moore, Freda (Henry) Russell & Jean (R.V.) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Beulah Bennett. Visitation will be Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 5-8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Bro. Ronnie Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to Harrison Fire Dept. & EMS c/o the funeral home.
