Alice Margaret Grubbs

Alice Margaret Grubbs, age 91 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Brookville, IN. Born November 20, 1922 in Cleves, OH she was the daughter of William & Edith (Barrows) Moak. Alice married Floyd William "Fat" Grubbs on December 13, 1939. Alice is survived by her children Edith Fay Hicks of Bright, IN and Darlene (Dennis) Emery of W. Harrison, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Susan Carroll, Tammy Houston, Jeff Hicks, Tony Hill, Becky Robinson, Vickie Grubbs & Heidi Lovins; great grandchildren Jeremy, Missy, DJ, Blake, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Amber, Alisha, Christine, Amanda, Kyle, Sara, Amanda & April; numerous great great grandchildren and many great great great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd "Fat" Grubbs; sons Donald Roy & Raye Grubbs and siblings Mae, Susie, Minnie, Frank, George, Johnnie & Art. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow services in Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
