Alexis Renee Johnson

Alexis Renee Johnson, aged 19, of North Bend, Ohio passed away suddenly on January 6, 2026. Born July 17, 2006, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving daughter of Don Johnson, Jr., and Lori Varble.

A 2024 graduate from Taylor High School, Alexis worked for Dairy Queen in Harrison. In Lexi’s free time, she found comfort and joy in the things she loved most. She was an avid reader and a talented seamstress, often quilting with care and creativity. She had a deep affection for animals and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good scary movie. Music and art filled her world, and she delighted in capturing moments through Polaroid photographs. Few things made her happier than time spent with her family, especially her niece and nephew, whom she adored deeply. She was a beloved member of Hope Baptist Church since August 3rd, 2014. And, true to her simple pleasures, she always found room for a bowl of macaroni and cheese—her favorite comfort food.

Survived by her mother, Lori Varble, and father, Don (Sheryl) Johnson, Jr. Dear sister of Tiffani Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, Deven Johnson, Andrew Rugg, Collin Carrithers, Carter Carrithers, and sister-in-law, Hannah Johnson. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Frank Varble and Carol (Paul) Rugg, paternal grandfather Don Johnson, Dan (Stephanie) Varble, Cassandra Allen, Ryan Rugg, and Kathleen Turner. She was the beloved aunt of Tucker and Magnolia Johnson, niece of Eric (Vickie) Johnson, and cousin of Landon, Crosley, and Warner Johnson.

Preceded in death by her grandmother Deborah Kay Johnson and her uncle, Michael Rugg.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
