Alberta Purtee

Alberta Purtee, age 65 of Harrison, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Twin Towers, Hospice of Cincinnati. The daughter of Harold & Thelma (Rogers) Oatley was born on November 29, 1950 in Toledo, OH. On October 16, 1970 she married John Purtee in Toledo, OH.

Alberta worked for 20 years as a supervisor for Cincinnati Bell and for 10 years at the Mercy Heart Institute. She served as a girl scout leader for several years and was a member of the Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church. Alberta enjoyed embroidering and liked traveling with family. She was also a mentor to many.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, John, daughters Bonnie Purtee (Paul Brown Jr.) of Boston, MA and Angela Kidwell (Keith) of Bright, IN, her loving grandsons Hayden and Lucas Kidwell, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Oatley and sister Dorothy Oatley.

Visitation will be Monday, from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services are 11:00am on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church in Bright, IN. Pastor Pete Wilson & Jay Wilson officiating with burial to follow in the Gibson Cemetery.
